Bull Riding Bascom Boys

by John A. Bascom
(Apple Valley, California)

This 1939 photograph is of the Bull Riding Bascom Boys – Earl, Melvin and Weldon. Born in Utah but raised in Canada, they rodeoed in the 1920’s and 1930’s when the bull riding event (and steer riding) was a ten second ride. Earl Bascom also tried his hand as a rodeo clown and bull fighter.
